The Mohawk Valley Engineersí Executive Council (MVEEC) is a volunteer-staffed, non-profit organization, and has been focused on one goal since 1962: Support and expand the knowledge base, functionality and business of technology in the Mohawk Valley.
The group attains this goal through four strategic missions:
1. promote and expand the technical knowledge base of the engineers, technicians, scientists, researchers, companies, and institutions currently operating within our local community, via MVEEC sponsored activities and cooperative efforts.
2. support the expansion of technical opportunities within our local communities, both by encouraging the growth of existing technical opportunities, and by supporting the efforts to attract new technical jobs to the area.
3. act as an umbrella organization for the smaller, specialized technical associations dispersed throughout the Mohawk Valley, creating a larger forum to address their needs, and to recognize the efforts of their members and their groupís activities.
4. encourage the areaís future technologists, both by increasing the number and skills of interested local students in the sciences that form the knowledge base of engineering and technological endeavors, and by highlighting present and future technical opportunities and careers within the Mohawk Valley.
The accomplishment of the MVEEC missions will contribute to the continued technical development of our members; stronger academic and professional communities and associations; and a stronger, more recognized Mohawk Valley technical knowledge base.
